The Spiritual Life Team (interns for the Center of Global Engagement and Center of Civic Education and Social Change) hosted a speaking engagement with Dr Jon Haidt who is a leader in the field of Social Psychology. Jonathan Haidt is the author of The Righteous Mind: Why Good People Are Divided by Politics and Religion and The Happiness Hypothesis: Finding Modern Truth in Ancient Wisdom.

Haidt is a Professor of Ethical Leadership at New York University’s Stern School of Business, and has also taught psychology at the University of Virginia. He received his PhD in social psychology in 1992 from the University of Pennsylvania, and received additional training in cultural psychology at the University of Chicago. In 2001, he was awarded the Templeton Award for Positive Psychology, a field that seeks ways to make life fulfilling.
